Interested in Continuing to Run? Check out the Bonfield Express and Cross Country Challenge!

Athletes:

We hope that you are enjoying your time off now that our season has concluded. Take at least a week or so off and don't even think about running and let your body rest. You have earned it.

That said, even though we just ran in the State Final on Saturday, there's a couple of races out there that we thought you may be interested in doing for fun.

The first one is the Bonfield Express 5K which will be held on Thanksgiving morning, November 27th in downtown Downers Grove. This is a United States Track and Field certified course! Many of our former runners have run in this race and many of our alumni also run in this race when they return home for the Thanksgiving holiday. Coach Wolf has also run in this race in the past. Last year, over 5,200 runners took part in this race.

The second race that we thought you might be interested in running is the Cross Country Challenge which will be held on Sunday, December 7th, in Gilberts, Illinois at the Indian Hills Training Center. It's a bit of a hike up there, but it is definitely worth the challenge. Be warned: You will need lots of layers -- and a pair of shoes that you are willing to sacrifice to the mud and cold of this 4.9 mile course.
