IHSA Releases 2014 Regional and Sectional Sites

This morning, the IHSA released the 2014 Cross Country Regional and Sectional sites. They are the same for both teams. Here are the Girls sites, as well as the Boys sites.

As expected, Westmont will compete in the Aurora Christian Regional, which will be held at Oakhurst Forest Preserve on Saturday, October 25, and the Lisle Sectional, which will be held at Lisle Community Park, adjacent to Lisle High School, on Saturday, November 1.

The top seven teams will advance to the Lisle Sectional from the Aurora Christian Regional. In addition, the top five individuals NOT on an advancing team will also advance to the Lisle Sectional.

From the Lisle Sectional, the top five teams will qualify for the 2014 IHSA Class 1A Cross Country State Final, which will be held at Detweiller Park, Peoria, on Saturday, November 8. The top seven individuals NOT on an advancing team will also also qualify for the Class 1A Cross Country State Final. Note: If there are more than seven individuals NOT on an advancing team in the top ten overall runners, then more than seven individuals may advance out of a Sectional to the State Final.
